What to Expect

Each 60-90 minute learning session is tailored to your child’s unique learning needs and interests. One-on-one individualized support can be more welcoming, efficient and effective when acquiring a new language, than in a traditional classroom setting.  In order to learn best, children need a comfortable environment and a trusting rapport between teacher and student. Through authentic engagement, our customized instruction includes evaluation, practice, assessment, feedback and fun. Our aim is for your child to enjoy the process of learning at their own pace and improving a new language while feeling the success and confidence that comes with developing a new skill.

How it Works

1. Discovery Meeting  

• An opportunity for students and parents/guardians to tour our location 
• Review any prior learning assessments, report cards and Individual Education Plans
• Discuss expectations and goals and map out a plan for success according to your child’s interests, learning preferences and abilities

2. Continued Sessions

We will conduct a language assessment to determine your child’s skill level. This will allow us to create a targeted plan of action to achieve a positive outcome. 60-90 minute learning sessions will continue which will focus on learning goals.

4. Feedback 

After each tutoring session, parents/guardians will be emailed feedback, if they would like, summarizing our learning time together and an update on your child’s progress. This can be helpful when communicating with your child’s teacher.
